Open until 2 a.m. in Marbella: where to eat when everything else is closed
It is half past midnight in Marbella, dinner ran long, the bars are emptying out, and someone in the group asks the question that decides the rest of the night: is anywhere still open?
At Pizzeria Desidero, on Calle Juan Ruiz Muñoz 4, the answer is yes. We open at 16:00 and our kitchen stays open until 2:00 a.m., every day, with the full menu — not a reduced late-night list, not reheated leftovers. Wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta and halal dishes, made to order at the same time we make them at nine in the evening.
While most pizzerias in Marbella close between 23:00 and midnight, we keep cooking until 2 a.m. — quite possibly the latest Italian kitchen in the centre of Marbella.
Our opening hours
| Monday to Sunday | 16:00 – 02:00 |
| Kitchen | full menu until closing |
| Where | C/ Juan Ruiz Muñoz 4, 29602 Marbella |
The last order goes in shortly before closing, so if you arrive at half past one you will still be eating properly.
Why a late kitchen matters in Marbella
Marbella lives at night. Dinner starts at ten, the terraces fill up at midnight, and by one in the morning most kitchens in town have already switched off the ovens. What is left tends to be fast food.
We wanted to offer something different: a real restaurant, still cooking, at an hour when the city is at its liveliest. That covers a lot of situations:
- After a night out — when you want a proper pizza instead of a kebab on the walk home.
- Late arrivals at Málaga airport — the drive to Marbella takes about forty minutes, and flights land late.
- Hospitality workers — chefs, waiters and bar staff finish when everyone else has gone home. They eat with us.
- Long summer evenings — when nobody wants dinner before eleven.
- Football and big matches — late kick-offs, extra time, and a table that is not being cleared around you.
What you can order after midnight
The entire menu is available until closing:
- Wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas — Margherita, Diavola, Prosciutto e Funghi, Quattro Formaggi, Mortazza and the rest.
- Fresh pasta — carbonara made the Roman way, bolognese, spaghetti al pil pil with king prawns.
- Halal options — halal chicken and beef dishes, prepared separately, for guests who need certified meat at any hour.
- Salads and starters — burrata, bruschetta, provolone al forno, for anyone who wants something lighter at one in the morning.
- Gluten-free base available for every pizza (+€3.00).
Halal food, late at night
Finding halal food in Marbella after midnight is genuinely difficult. Our halal dishes are available for as long as the kitchen is open, with the same certified suppliers and the same care as at any other hour. For visitors from the Gulf and North Africa spending the summer on the Costa del Sol, that turns out to matter quite a lot.
Practical tips for a late visit
- Large groups: call ahead after midnight. The dining room is calmer, but tables for eight still need arranging.
- Reservations: in July and August it is worth booking, even for a late table.
- Parking: easier late than early — the streets around Juan Ruiz Muñoz free up after midnight.
- Takeaway: available until closing, if you would rather eat at the hotel or the apartment.
